Noise policy (clear + fair)

Empower Studios is in a creative warehouse. Most sessions are smooth, but occasional low-frequency bleed can happen. We handle this professionally with a simple protocol so you’re never left guessing.

  1. Room check: we start with a quick test recording + listen-back.
  2. Session type: we categorize the session (Green/Yellow/Red) depending on sensitivity (e.g., delicate vocals).
  3. If noise becomes disruptive: we pivot the plan (track loud sources now, quiet overdubs later), or apply a make-good credit when appropriate.

How you can help (quick wins)

  • Tell us in the intake form if you need quiet vocal/acoustic recording.
  • Bring reference tracks so we can set gain staging + mic choice quickly.
  • Consider splitting: “band capture” day + “quiet overdubs” day.
We’ll be honest upfront

If your project is extremely noise-sensitive, we’ll recommend the best approach before you spend money.

Studio specs (high-level)

  • Recording workflow: multitrack capture designed for bands + overdubs.
  • Monitoring: calibrated listening for faster decisions and better takes.
  • Comfort: a clean, calm space that supports focus (and repeat visits).

How to prepare for a great session

  • Rehearse structure: tempo, key, arrangement, ending.
  • Bring references: 1–2 songs that match your target sound.
  • Bring fresh strings / heads if your sound depends on it.
  • Know your goal: demo, rehearsal tape, or release-intent tracking.

Pro tip: the best “fast sessions” happen when the artist knows what “done” means.
